Two Arrested on Unrelated Child Abuse Charges

Two Quincy residents have been arrested as the result of separate and unrelated child abuse investigations.

Quincy Police report the arrest Tuesday of 65 year old Susan Tresch on an outstanding Adams County warrant for two counts of aggravated battery to a child.

An investigation by police and DCFS alleges that a child under the age of 13 was injured at Tresch’s residence where she operated a day care facility.

Last week, police took 50 year old Joe Guzman into custody on an Adams County indictment for seven counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child under 13.

Tresch is in the Adams County Jail on $25,000 bond. Guzman’s bond was set at $100,000.
