It is that time of year when the National Weather Service conducts its annual Statewide Tornado Drill tests. The tests for Missouri and Illinois were both to be held today but a winter storm in the northern part of Illinois has prompted the Illinois test to be moved to Wednesday instead.

The Missouri test will take place today at 1:30 throughout the Sho-Me State.  The Illinois test will now take place tomorrow (Wednesday at 10 am).  The sirens will be sounding at the respective times and dates throughout both states with the intention of people taking the time to go over the emergency plans they will need to take in the event a tornado is coming their way in the days and week ahead.

Hopefully, that won't be the case but people need to be prepared anyway with a plan of action.
