The first Grand Slam event of 2013, prime-time UFC fights and the NFL's best players highlight the upcoming sports calendar. Here's what to watch this weekend:

Friday, Jan. 25

Australian Open — Men's Semifinal

Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Australia; 3:30 a.m. (ET) on ESPN
Four-time Australian Open champ Roger Federer takes on Andy Murray for the right to play Novak Djokovic in Sunday's men's championship match. Other than Rafael Nadal, Murray is the only other active player with a winning record against Federer. The two men dueled last year in the finals of both Wimbledon and the Summer Olympics, with Federer winning the Grand Slam event and Murray capturing the gold medal.

San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks

American Airlines Center, Dallas; 8 p.m. (ET) on ESPN
The San Antonio Spurs (34-11) continue to be one of basketball's best squads, with point guard Tony Parker leading the team in scoring and assists per game. In-state rival Dallas (18-24) has had a challenging season just two years removed from an NBA title. Mavericks sharpshooter Dirk Nowitski has struggled to get back to full strength after off-season knee surgery.

Saturday, Jan. 26

Australian Open Women's Final — Victoria Azarenka vs. Li Na

Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Australia; 3 a.m. (ET) on ESPN
After beating upstart Sloane Stephens on Thursday morning, top-seeded Victoria Azarenka will face Li Na for the Grand Slam championship. Na advanced to the final by beating No. 2-ranked Maria Sharapova in the other semifinal.

Maryland at (1) Duke

Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, N.C.; 1 p.m. (ET) on CBS
After getting drubbed, 90-63, at No. 25 Miami on Wednesday night, top-ranked Duke (16-2; 3-2, ACC) has a home game against developing Maryland (15-4; 3-3, ACC). Seth Curry and Mason Plumlee are the Blue Devils best players, while center Alex Len leads the Terrapins with a 13.5 points per game scoring average.

Senior Bowl

Ladd Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Ala.; 2 p.m. (ET) on NFL Network
Some of the nation's best college football players will be on display in front of NFL scouts, coaches and a TV audience at the Senior Bowl. Quarterbacks Tyler Wilson of Arkansas and Mike Glennon of N.C. State are the best known names, but players like offensive tackle Eric Fisher of Central Michigan or linebacker Arthur Brown of Kansas State can also lock up their NFL Draft status.

UFC on FOX 6: Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson

United Center in Chicago; 8 p.m. on FOX
Champion Demetrious Johnson takes on challenger John Dodson for the UFC flyweight title, as the UFC returns to primetime. A quick, powerful puncher, Johnson will be challenged by Dodson's strength. Quinton Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira, Donald Cerrone vs. Anthony Pettis and Erik Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas are among the bouts on the undercard.

Sunday, Jan. 27

Australian Open — Men's Final

Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Australia; 3 a.m. (ET) on ESPN
Two-time defending champion Novak Djokovic seeks his third consecutive Australian Open title when he plays the winner of Friday's semifinal between Roger Federer and Andy Murray on Sunday. Top-ranked Djokovic has been very good thus far in the tourney, but he was pushed to five sets last weekend by unknown Stanislas Wawrinka.

(13) Michigan State at (7) Indiana

Assembly Hall, Bloomington, Ind.; 1 p.m. (ET) on CBS
Thirteenth-ranked Michigan State (17-3; 6-1, Big 10) visits No. 7 Indiana (17-2, 5-1, Big 10) in a key Big 10 clash between two of the conference's best teams. Guard Keith Appling leads the Spartans with 14.1 points per game, while forward Cody Zeller has paced the Hoosiers' attack all season, despite being held to just two points in a win over Penn State on Wednesday.

Oklahoma City at L.A. Lakers

Staples Center, Los Angeles; 3:30 p.m. (ET) on ABC
With Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook keying an offensive onslaught, the Oklahoma City Thunder (33-10) look to be a serious contender for the NBA title. OKC travels to face the Los Angeles Lakers (17-25), who despite a star-studded lineup, have lost four games in a row and 10 of 12 overall.

Pro Bowl — AFC vs. NFC

Aloha Stadium, Honolulu; 7 p.m. (ET) on NBC
Quarterback Peyton Manning leads the AFC squad against an NFC team featuring running back Adrian Peterson. Some of the NFL's best players will miss this game due to injury or because they are playing in the Super Bowl next Sunday.
