Theft Case Against Former Curryville City Clerk Continued

A court hearing for a former Curryville city clerk accused of stealing has been continued to January 29. 

Erin Comer of Bowling Green is charged with felony theft. She’s accused of stealing nearly 12-thousand dollars in cash from the City of Curryville over a two-year period. She’s accused of accepting money from residents and marking the bills paid, but then putting an incorrect amount on deposit ledgers.

A review of the ledgers and bank deposit statements led to the charge.
