The National Weather Service issues flood warnings for the Mississippi River at Louisiana and Clarksville.

(Hannibal, Mo)—Hannibal’s five floodgates are being removed. Efforts began at approximately 7:30 this morning to remove the floodgates that have been in place for the past three weeks.

(Hannibal)--The weather pendulum that brought drought last year and low river levels has now swung to the flooding side.

(UNDATED)—High water is on the way along the Mississippi River. The National Weather Service says the Mississippi will crest Tuesday at Hannibal at 26.3 feet—just over ten feet above technical flood stage.

(Hannibal)—After heavy rains moved through earlier this week, the Mississippi River is at or near flood stage at several points in our area.
