The Hannibal Art Club's 49th annual area artists exhibit and competition, 'Originale,' will take place from September 27 to November 9 at the Hannibal Arts Council. The exhibit and competition is open to all area artists 18 and older, amateur or professional, who live within a 50 mile radius of Hannibal.

The Hannibal Arts Council will present the Wild & Wacky Art Adventure, a FREE hands-on arts festival for kids 3 to 12 and their families, from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, August 3 in Hannibal’s Central Park.  This year’s theme “Artspalooza” will be packed with creative hands-on projects with an art-focused theme.

The 36th annual Palmyra Art Show will take place in conjunction with the Marion County Fair. Artists living within a 75 mile radius of Palmyra are invited to bring in work for the show, which will be on display from July 31 - August 3. The Palmyra Art Show is open to both adult and student artists.

The Hannibal Arts Council has announced via its Facebook page that next week's Urban Influence Art Camp has been cancelled.

The Hannibal Arts Council will host a week-long visual art camp for students ages 13 to 16 beginning July 22. The camp will provide participants with in-depth opportunities to work alongside local artists, learn about a variety of art forms and create their own original art. Things are about to get colorful at the Hannibal Arts Council. Artists from around the area have been bringing in work for the next HAC exhibit, 'Full Spectrum.'

The recently completed 5,000 square foot mural located at 115 North 4th Street in downtown Quincy will be dedicated on Friday, June 28th at 4:30 pm prior to the opening of the 10th Annual Midsummer Arts Faire. The public is invited to attend the short dedication ceremony.

Hannibal High School Art Department students participated in the 'Young Masters' exhibit held at the Hannibal Arts Council.  'Young Masters' featured selected works by Hannibal High School students as well as 5th grade and 8th grade students from Hannibal’s public and parochial schools.

Spotlighting the creative abilities of those with developmental disabilities is the focus of the next exhibit at the Hannibal Arts Council. This Saturday, downtown art galleries in Hannibal will be hosting the monthly Second Saturday Gallery Night. Visitors are encouraged to wander from gallery to gallery and enjoy special guest artists, food, friends and extended hours.
