According to an article on Forbes.com the mega beer company, out of Dublin, Ireland, Guinness has announced they will be building a permanent, massive Chicago "taproom" in the Fulton Market area of the city.  This massive 15,000 square foot taproom is only set to be the second one of these "hub" locations from Guinness in the United States the first one opened in Baltimore back in 2018, and the hope is it will be open and ready to go for....you guessed it St. Patrick's Day 2023! In the article they say...

"the Chicago property will boast beer-brewing capabilities, Guinness's signature stout won’t be made on location. Instead, the brand will be focusing on new experimental and one-off beers..."

In the article Guinness talks about how Chicago is their second largest market for Guinness drinking, and how they want to make sure they honor the spirit of Chicago in this new hub location. For more information, and to read the whole article from Forbes.com just click here!

I have been to Dublin and visited the Guinness factory and I have to tell you it was one of the best tours I've ever had, it was even better than the amazing Budweiser tour in St. Louis. Guinness is such a prideful, and incredible company, with such a great beer, I have no doubt in my mind that this Chicago "hub" will be absolutely stunning, and a total blast when it is all completed!

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
