Updated information from Hy Vee shows some Quincy area transactions could have been compromised this summer.
An announcement from Hy Vee says unauthorized activity on their payment processing systems was detected July 29th. The investigation discovered malware designed to access payment card data on point of sale devices at some fuel pumps and
Hy Vee Market Grilles. Affected locations in the Quincy area include Market Grilles at both Quincy locations and the North 36th pay at the pump. Hy Vee’s website has additional information about the incident and additional steps customers may take. The company says front end checkout lanes, pharmacies, customer service and wine and spirits locations were not affected.
