A total of six motorists lost their lives on Missouri highways during the just-concluded Memorial Day weekend.

The Highway Patrol reports troopers handled 341 traffic crashes over the weekend, resulting in 112 injuries.

There were also ten boat crashes, resulting in seven injuries. There were two drownings on the state’s waterways.

There were eight fatalities over the 2019 Memorial Day weekend, along with two boating fatalities and no drownings.

None of the 2020 traffic fatalities or drownings happened in northeast Missouri.

The Memorial Day holiday reporting period ran from 6 p.m. Friday through 11:59 p.m. Monday.
