The 'Share The Harvest' program is back this deer hunting season as a means to help with hunger in our area.

Local hunters can again help feed hungry neighbors this fall and winter by donating all or a portion of their deer hunt to the program.

The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri is hoping to collect over 157 thousand pounds of meat this year... the amount collected last year... to distribute to the hungry throughout the region. All venison collected will stay local.

A list of businesses that process donated deer for free or at a reduced cost is available online.
