Seyler Sentenced for String of Area Burglaries

A Collinsville, Illinois man was sentenced Thursday for a string of area burglaries last summer.

45 year old Bradley Seyler pleaded guilty in February to two counts of burglary. Five other counts were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Seyler was sentenced to a total of 23 years in prison - 14 years on the burglary charges, and nine years on a separate charge of possession of a weapon in a penal institution.

Seyler is alleged to have broken into nearly two dozen businesses between July 2nd and August 29th last year, including Going Bonkers, the Knights of Columbus, Scottie’s Fun Spot and O’Griffs.

Another suspect in the burglaries, Jennifer Seyler, has a preliminary hearing set for April 26th.
