Semi Burns on I-72

(NEW SALEM)—Fire in a semi cab closed I-72 in Pike County Illinois for about 90 minutes early Wednesday morning. Illinois State Police say 37-year-old Volodymyr Shperun pulled over when he noticed smoke in the cab. Police say he disconnected the trailer and exited the cab before it became fully engulfed in flames.

No injuries are reported. The truck sustained major damage.
