The search for a boater who went missing over a week ago has been expanded.

19 year old Ean Reinold and two others fell into the Mississippi River October 14th when their boat capsized north of Lock and Dam 21 at Quincy.

Reinold’s two passengers were rescued, but Reinold, who wasn’t wearing a life jacket, disappeared from sight before he could be rescued.

Officials with the Quincy Volunteer Emergency Corps report they have searching for Reinold ever since, and they have expanded their search southward to the Hannibal area.

Volunteers have vowed to continue the search from 8 a.m. till dark every day until Reinold is found.
