Salvation Army Offering Financial Assistance to Flood Victims

The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command is offering financial assistance to local families who were affected by recent area flooding.

Officials say that anyone needing help should verify the damage to their property or be referred by another agency.

Flood kits, including general cleaning supplies, are also available.

Anyone needing help can apply at the Salvation Army Family Services Center at 501 Broadway in Quincy, or the Family Store and Services Center in the Steamboat Bend Shopping Center in Hannibal.

The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command serves Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Shelby and Monroe counties in Missouri and Adams, Brown and Pike counties in Illinois.
