SAN DIEGO (AP) - Rookie Aledmys Diaz had his first five-hit game, Jedd Gyorko and Jeremy Hazelbaker hit three-run homers and the St. Louis Cardinals beat the San Diego Padres 11-2 Saturday night.

Gyorko and Hazelbaker homered off Carlos Villanueva, who pitched for the Cardinals last year before signing with the Padres as a free agent.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Chris Davis homered and had four hits, Manny Machado extended his hitting streak to 16 games and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Kansas City Royals 8-3 Saturday night. Kris Medlen allowed seven runs on nine hits and three walks in three and two thirds innings.

CINCINNATI (AP) - Eugenio Suarez and Adam Duvall hit three-run homers in the sixth inning as the Cincinnati Reds finally broke through against the Cubs' dominant pitching, beating Chicago 13-5 Saturday night. A victory would have given the Cubs their best start since 1907, the year they won the first of their back-to-back World Series titles. A four-homer splurge ended Chicago's domination of its NL Central rival.

CHICAGO (AP) - Slump-ridden Jose Abreu hit an RBI single with one out in the bottom of the 11th inning, leading the Chicago White Sox over the Texas Rangers 4-3 Saturday. After Texas tied it in the ninth on Elvis Andrus' sacrifice fly off David Robertson, the White Sox went on to win for the fourth time in five games.

CHICAGO (AP) - Artem Anisimov, Trevor van Riemsdyk and Dale Weise scored during Chicago's dominant second period, and the Blackhawks beat the St. Louis Blues 6-3 Saturday night to send their first-round playoff series to Game 7. Andrew Shaw added a third-period goal in his return from a one-game suspension for using a gay slur during Chicago's 4-3 loss in Game 4. Game 7 is Monday night.
