Authorities in Ralls County are investigating an apparent deer poaching incident.

Ralls County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of deer poaching in the area of Highway M about 3 a.m. Sunday.

A witness reported seeing a white truck with only a bed frame and no license plates leaving the area toward Highway 61.

Deputies found a buck that had been freshly shot in the field where the poachers had been.

Authorities say this is the third time in 48 hours that a deer had been poached and left behind.

The Ralls County Sheriff’s Department needs your help to identify the owners of the truck and suspects in the poaching.
