The Quincy Public Schools are easing some of the COVID related requirements for its students and visitors.

At its regular meeting Wednesday night, the Quincy School Board learned that temperature checks will no longer be required for students boarding a bus or entering a school building, or for visitors to school buildings.

That said, officials still urge students and staff who have symptoms or who are not feeling well to stay home.

The easing of temperature check requirements follows state health department guidelines.
Other guidelines, such as wearing masks and social distancing, are still in place, and the IHSA still requires temperature checks for athletes coming to practice and prior to events.
