Quincy Police: Stolen Vehicle Reports on the Rise in June

Reports of stolen vehicles in Quincy are on the rise.

According to Quincy Police, officers have taken no less than ten stolen vehicle reports since June 6th.

Many of the reports involve vehicles that were unlocked or had the keys left in them.

Several of the vehicle have been recovered from locations ranging from Quincy and Adams County to Chicago.

Most of the thefts are happening west of 12th Street. Officers don’t yet know whether the thefts are isolated or are part of an organized effort.
