The Quincy Police Department and Illinois Liquor Control Commission conducted an alcohol compliance check Wednesday afternoon and evening.

QPD reports that 28 businesses were checked, with six failing the check and selling alcohol to 19 year old undercover individuals.

The establishments that failed the compliance check were Elder’s, Stubby’s, Scrub a Dub, Straight Jackets, Gregory’s and Silver Moon.

The offending employees were issued citations for sale of alcohol to a minor and released on scene.
