Quincy Police Conclude Investigation Into Night Club Incident
The Quincy Police Department has issued an update on its investigation into an incident at a Quincy night club early Easter Sunday.
In a press release, a QPD spokesperson said the criminal investigation into the incident early April 4th involving a Quincy University student and the owner of The Barn night club has concluded.
Officials say the findings of the investigation have been sent to the Adams County State’s Attorney for review and consideration of criminal charges.
Police say there was a separate administrative investigation to look into possible liquor license violations at The Barn.
That investigation will wrap up in the next day or two.
The results of that inquiry will be sent to the Quincy Liquor Commissioner, which is Mayor Kyle Moore, for review and consideration.

On April 4th, 2021, the Quincy Police Department began a criminal investigation into an incident that occurred at “The Barn,” 711 South Front Street, Quincy, IL.
Shortly thereafter a separate administrative investigation was initiated to look into any possible liquor license violations at the establishment.
The primary criminal investigation has concluded. The case has been sent to the Adams County State’s Attorney for review and consideration of criminal charges. The administrative investigation will conclude in the next day or two. Once complete that case will be sent to the Office of the City of Quincy Liquor Commissioner, Mayor Kyle Moore, for review and consideration of action against the establishment’s liquor license.
Detectives with the Quincy Police Department’s Investigations Unit have worked tirelessly over the last 10 days reviewing evidence, locating witnesses, and conducting interviews. Both investigations are still open and ongoing. Anyone with additional information regarding either the criminal or administrative investigations should not hesitate to reach out to the Quincy Police Department.
