Quincy Police and Animal Control Officers say one woman faces charge after two dogs who attacked a third dog Tuesday night.

Quincy Police say 53 year old Carol Franklin faces two charges of allowing animals to run at large and one rabies control violation. Police say one of Franklin’s dogs is quarantined at the Western Illinois Veterinary clinic.

QPD received a report that two medium to large dogs of unknown breed attacked a dog that was chained in its own yard in the 700 block of Ohio about 10 p.m. Tuesday.

The owner of the chained dog tried to break up the fight and was severely bitten by one of the dogs. He was hospitalized.

Police and Animal Control have searched the area for the dogs multiple times without success prior to the arrest of Franklin
