Up to 100 small businesses in Quincy will benefit from a state-funded grant program announced Monday by Mayor Kyle Moore.

The mayor announced that the state Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has offered a half-million dollars in grant money to provide relief for business interruptions related to COVID-19.

The city council Monday voted to allow the grant funds to be allocated immediately.

Business owners can begin applying now. Applications can be found on the city of Quincy website.

The deadline to apply for a grant of up to $5,000 is December 27th.
