Quincy Man Jailed, One Injured in Sunday Stabbing

A Quincy man is in the Adams County Jail as the result of a stabbing incident Sunday afternoon.

Quincy Police respond to a report of a disturbance involving a knife at 1709 Sycamore at 2:24 p.m. Sunday.

Officers found a 39 year old male victim with a puncture wound to his upper shoulder/chest area and a laceration on his forehead.

The man was transported to Blessing Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A 59 year old female victim was not hurt and refused treatment.

An investigation results in the arrest of 62 year old Jay Schroder on charges of aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a weapon and aggravated domestic battery.
