Quincy Man in Federal Court on Drug Charges

44-year-old Troy E. Cleesen of 807 Broadway Apt. 4 in Quincy was charged in Federal Court in Springfield on Thursday.

Cleesen is charged with Manufacture of Methamphetamine.

Agents from the West Central Illinois Task Force arrested Cleesen November 19 during a search warrant.  The warrant resulted in the seizure of a shake and bake methamphetamine laboratory and methamphetamine. Cleesen was facing charges in state court of Aggravated Participation in Methamphetamine Production and Delivery of Methamphetamine.  The state charges were dismissed so the case could proceed to federal court.

Cleesen has two prior felony convictions and is eligible for a sentence of up to 30 years in the federal bureau of prisons.
