Quincy Man Facing Retail Theft and Drug Charges

Quincy Police say a man is in custody after he left Wal-Mart with over $1600 in merchandise in a shopping cart.

Police say 25-year-old John Bates was arrested after he walked by all points of sale early Monday afternoon. Bates was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. A May 23^rd court appearance is scheduled.
