An ongoing child pornography investigation results in the arrest of a Quincy man Friday.

Quincy Police report that the investigation began last August, in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Illinois Attorney General office’s Internet Crimes Against Children division.

Last November, Martin Wiskur was arrested for distribution of child pornography and failure to register as a sex offender.

Meanwhile, the investigation into possible sexual abuse resulted in a 13 year old Quincy child being identified as a possible victim.

About 10:15 a.m. Friday, 20 year old Jonathan Hoats was taken into custody without incident.

Hoats and Wiskur had been roommates at a Quincy residence where some of the abuse is alleged to have happened.

Hoats is in the Adams County Jail for production and distribution of child pornography and predatory criminal sexual assault.
