Thank you to Karla Hildebrand who shared her son Hunter's story with me. Hunter had major cardio thoracic surgery and he was helped greatly by the Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis.

On his event page, Hunter described how he and his family were helped:

Throughout my medical journey, my family has stayed in the St Louis Ronald McDonald Houses more than we can count, during mine and my sister's many hospital stays. They have provided a home away from home that has helped us be together during some challenging times.

Now, Hunter is giving back and his cause has been joined by Colton Parayko of the St. Louis Blues. Colton has asked Hunter to speak at his Project 55 event in St. Louis on August 29, 2022. Colton will be joining St. Louis Blues superfan Laila who inspired the team to their Stanley Cup Championship in 2019.

Here's how you can help Hunter. He's accepting donations that will be presented to Colton's charity on August 29. He's created an Amazon Wishlist page or you can contact his family directly. All proceeds will be presented on August 29 to Project 55.

Hunter's inspiring story has now gone national and will be celebrated with St. Louis Blue Colton Parayko at the end of August. You can follow Hunter's event page on Facebook for more information and updates.
