The rising Mississippi River has forced this year's Quincy Fourth of July Fireworks display to be moved from the riverfront to the Illinois Veterans Home this Thursday night. Other than the location thing should be going on as scheduled.

The event will start at 6pm with people reading the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. The Quincy Park Band will then perform starting at 7:30 p.m.  Local recording artist Madison McKenzie scheduled to sing around 9 p.m. with the fireworks display starting at approximately 9:20 p.m.

The  event is sponsored by WGEM, County Market, Blessing Health System, Refreshment Services-Pepsi, Titan Wheel and Cape Air.
