Quincy Exchange Club Takes Over Avenue of the Lights
Quincy’s Avenue of the Lights will continue.
The Quincy Exchange Club is taking over operation of the event. Long time organizers John Groves and Bob Scott had asked the Quincy Park District to consider taking over but they declined due to staffing and financial issues. The Exchange Club will lease the event for two years with the option to take over ownership in 2017.
During its eleven year run to date, over a half million vehicles have passed through the display in Wavering and Moorman Parks.
