A Quincy daycare provider accused of leaving a one year old baby in a hot van was in court Monday.

37-year-old Tasha Farris made her first appearance on a charge of misdemeanor child endangerment.

Farris is alleged to have left the child in the van August 21 after she picked up several children from school and run errands. The child’s mother came to pick up the child and Farris realized the child was still in the van.

The baby was in the van about a half hour. The girl was taken to Blessing Hospital for observation and was released the next day.

An investigation into the incident by the Department of Children and Family Services is still pending.
