Quincy Council Approves Guidebook for Event Planners
Anyone wanting to hold an event on city, county or park district property will now have a guidebook to help them in the planning process.
The Quincy City Council Monday night gave unanimous approval to the 13-page guidebook designed to help any organization wanting to hold an event on city, county or park district property, or would require street closures, on-site security and emergency personnel.
Included in the guidebook is a timeline for when event planners need to contact park district, city or county officials.
The council also took time Monday night to remember Third Ward Alderman Tom Ernst, who died over the weekend. The mayor has 60 days to appoint someone to fill the vacancy on the council.
