Quincy City Council Votes to Replenish Salt Supply
The Quincy City Council Tuesday night voted to replenish its salt supply.
The council approved the purchase of 700 tons of salt to use to keep the streets clear.
While crews have been busy clearing the streets as a result of the last week’s snow and bitter cold, and salt supplies have been depleted, they still have 3,500 tons of salt on hand.
The council also approved $50,000 for businesses that did not receive the full amount of grant money through the local CURE’s Economic Support Payments Grant Program.
