The Quincy City Council decides to address the threat of the Emerald Ash Borer.

Even though the Emerald Ash Borer hasn’t come to Adams County yet, the council Monday night voted to treat 94 ash trees owned by the city in the next year.

The contract for the work was awarded to Trees R Us Inc. for nearly $9,000.

According to Mayor Kyle Moore, the city plans to treat another 94 trees next year. After that, the city has a decision to make on what to do about some 600 additional ash trees in the city.
