The Quincy Notre Dame Lady Raiders won their third consecutive State Championship with a 62 to 45 victory this afternoon over Vernon Hills at Redbird Arena in Bloomington, Illinois.  The Lady Raiders were paced by Kassidy Gengenbacher with 20 points.

With the victory QND closed out the season undefeated at 30 and 0 and ended the year with a 53 game winning streak.   The previous two titles came in Class 2A and today's win gave them the 3A title after QND was moved up a class at the start of the year by the Illinois High School Association.

The team will return home and on Monday will get what is now becoming a commonplace fire truck ride though the city at 1pm.  The team will depart the K-Mart parking lot at 1pm for the ride to QND where the school will celebrate the team's accomplishment around 1:45 Monday afternoon.  Congratulations Lady Raiders!
