(QUINCY)---A federal magistrate approves a psychological exam for a Quincy man accused of producing child pornography. 20 year old Jonathan Cashion of 1131 ½ Madison was arrested Feb. 15 on charges of sexual exploitation of a child and distribution of child pornography. He's been held in the Sangamon County Jail since his arrest.
A motion filed May 15 by Cashion's attorney requested a forensic psychological evaluation. By using an Internet protocol address, investigators were able to track images depicting child pornography to a Comcast Cable subscriber in Quincy, Ill. later identified as Cashion according to the criminal complaint. Cashion is scheduled to appear at a May 24 pre-trial conference at the federal courthouse in Springfield. His trial is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 5.
