Police Rerouting Traffic Away From Newcomb Hotel Area

(QUINCY, ILL)--Quincy Police say traffic will continue to be redirected around the 4th and Maine Street area due to the Newcomb Hotel fire.

A detour will be placed at Highway 57 and Jefferson directing traffic to use Jefferson to 8th Street or Front Street to access the city.  Traffic traveling through Quincy with the intention of leaving the City without stopping should use 8th Street  to Broadway to access the bridge or Front street to Vermont and then back to 4th street and then to Broadway.

Fifth street traffic control signals from Maine to Broadway will remain on flashing red until further notice.
