Pleasant Street Fire

(HANNIBAL)—No injuries are reported following an early morning fire at 1514 Pleasant in Hannibal. Occupants of the house, Richard and Holly Bergheger, noticed smoke and escaped without injury. Firefighters arrived at 3:53 a.m. to find a small fire in a basement bedroom. By 4:30 a-m… firefighters were using smoke ejectors to clear the house and they were checking the basement area for hot spots.
Investigators determined the fire was accidental and electrical in nature.
