The owner of a building in Edina that collapsed earlier this week has been arrested.

According to Edina Police Chief Ryan Bishop, Anita Woodburn was taken into custody at a relative’s home by Shannon County Sheriff’s deputies.

Woodburn had been wanted on an active warrant for failing to maintain the building in Edina.

Demolition on the building had started, and was stopped, in 2016. Efforts to get Woodburn to finish the process were unsuccessful.

The building collapsed Monday morning, blocking Highway 6.
