Money is tight for everyone heading into the summer, and gas prices, and inflation, are causing us average Americans to rethink how to have fun this summer, well luckily for us one of the Best Free Museums in the country is here in the Show-Me State. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art was just ranked the 3rd best free museum in the country according to 10best.com, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is located in Kansas City, Missouri, and ranks only behind The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center in Columbus, Georgia, and the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago as the best free museums in the country. In the article ranking the free museums, the website says this about the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art...

How lucky are we here in the Tri-States that we have two of the top three best free museums within a day trip from us, you can take the train to Chicago from Quincy to check out the National Museum of Mexican Art or drive a couple of hours to Kansas City. If you are planning to make trips to either big city this Summer you can still have fun without spending a fortune.
