A Lewistown woman is facing felony charges after authorities allege she embezzled over $3000.

Lewis County Sheriff David Parrish says 36-year-old Katherine Oenning served as Secretary/Treasurer of the LEMO Recreational League. The investigation began after Oenning wrote a $700 check in 2013 that she allegedly used for her own purposes.

Oenning was arrested August 9 after a formal complaint was filed by the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office.  She was released after posting bond.  She is to appear before Knox County Associate Judge Tom Redington at a later date.
