Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Collision in Quincy

(Quincy, Ill)—Quincy Police say a driver’s failure to yield results in a collision with a motorcycle Saturday afternoon at 12:46 p.m.

The accident happened when 60 year old Darryl Bailey of Quincy was attempting to turn left from the eastbound turn lane near 38^th and Broadway, and his van struck a westbound motorcycle driven by 23 year old Alex Heckenkemper of New Baden, Illinois.

Heckenkemper was thrown from the bike, and was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment of leg injuries.

Bailey was cited for failure to yield.
