The Missouri Supreme Court heard arguments Wednesday in the case of a former Ralls County man.

28 year old William Greg Hopkins is appealing the decision of a Marion County jury in 2016 to have him committed as a sexually violent predator.

Hopkins alleges that the way his jury trial was conducted was flawed and that there were nearly a dozen specific ways in which his rights were violated.

Hopkins has a class action lawsuit pending against the Missouri Sex Offender Program.

The state supreme court is not expected to rule on the case for several months.
