Missouri Republicans Overrule Nixon

Missouri Republican lawmakers have overruled Democratic Governor Jay Nixon's veto of legislation expanding religious exemptions from insurance coverage for birth control. But the new Missouri law is quickly being hit with a lawsuit. An attorney for the Greater Kansas City Coalition of Labor Union Women said it was seeking an injunction against the measure, arguing it conflicts with the federal mandate to provide contraception coverage in health insurance plans.
