It appears that the big are getting bigger. A group that owns and operates many Missouri Panera Bread locations reportedly just purchased 13 more restaurants.

According to Nation's Restaurant News, the Flynn Group has just acquired 13 Panera Bread locations. They added the following:

"It owns and operates Panera Bread cafés in California, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Washington, West Virginia, and Virginia."

The 13 new Panera Bread locations just acquired by the group that operates some in Missouri are apparently located in Virginia based on the report.

The official Flynn Group website says their goal is to be the premier franchise operator in the world. Along with the Missouri Panera Bread locations and the newly acquired restaurants in Virginia, this gives the group a presence in 44 different states and 3 different countries now. So, it would appear they're making progress toward their global goal.
