A Missouri man who posted an online advertisement soliciting a woman to help him sexually assault an 11-year-old relative has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the 33-year-old man received the punishment after pleading no contest to attempted statutory sodomy.

Police received a tip in 2013 from the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and an undercover officer posing as a 27-year-old woman responded. The man was arrested after bringing the girl to meet the undercover officer at a south St. Louis County Cracker Barrel restaurant.

The Associated Press isn't naming the man to protect the identity of the child.
