Mike Shannon Visits the Illinois Veterans Home

"I’m very impressed with our youngsters that came along last season. They really have some great arms and great knowledge on how to employ those arms..”--Cardinals Broadcaster Mike Shannon.

That assessment came during a visit to the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy late Friday morning.

"They do a great job up here...this is one of the greatest facilities in the country. They may not have modern buildings, but these veterans up here are so happy because of the way they're treated by the nurses and doctors and everybody that helps out."
