About 400 firefighters battled an overnight warehouse blaze on Chicago's southwest side.

The four-alarm fire began shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday and heavy smoke and flames engulfed the building before the fire was extinguished several hours later. But on early Thursday, flames were spotted again and fire officials returned to the scene.

Fire Department spokesman Will Knight says no one was injured.

First Deputy Fire Commissioner Charles Stewart says firefighters worked to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby building.

The fire was fueled by pallets that were inside the warehouse.
