An agreement has been finalized between Knapheide Manufacturing and union members.

Members of Machinists Lodge 822 voted overwhelmingly in favor of the contract Wednesday afternoon, about six hours before they were set to go on strike.

A strike had originally been set to start Monday, but was pushed back to midnight Wednesday, giving negotiators more time to reach an agreement.

Vacation, medical premiums and wages were the main issues that were agreed upon with the ratification of the new four-year contract.
