Lionberger Resigns from Hannibal City Council
Yet another member of the Hannibal City Council is forced to step down.
The Courier-Post reports that Third Ward councilman Kevin Lionberger submitted his letter of resignation to Mayor James Hark on August 16th. The council met that night and there was no mention of the resignation at that time.
In his resignation letter, Lionberger stated that he is moving to another home in a different ward in the city.
Lionberger was elected to the council in 2012 and was reelected in 2015.
The council will set up a procedure to fill Lionberger’s seat when they meet next Tuesday.
