A year ago the NCAA March Madness tournament was cancelled, making it the first major sporting event cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while other sports like MLB, Golf, NASCAR, NBA, and NHL all had delays they didn't have to cancel the biggest part of their seasons like college basketball did. Timing was a massive factor in why college basketball was cancelled due to COVID-19 as well as health and safety for the student athletes, but this year the college basketball season will not only have the incredible March Madness tournament, but fans will be there too, in a limited capacity.

The NCAA announced today on their website that there will be a limited number of fans allowed at March Madness tournament games, saying...

"The NCAA will allow a limited number of fans at the 2021 Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, including all rounds and the Final Four. The decision to allow up to 25% capacity with physical distancing was made in conjunction with state and local health authorities due to the COVID-19 pandemic."

This is a massive win for fans throughout the Tri-States, Mizzou, Iowa, and Illinois all have teams that are not only going to make the tournament, but each one of them has the potential to make a final four run in my opinion. So for all the mega fans of these teams that we have here in our area you may be able to get yourself a ticket to actually watch your team compete for a championship, something that even a couple months ago seemed like a pipe dream.
